What if you ended a writers' strike...

And nobody cared? Well, I don't anyway.

You should care! The whole dispute was about getting paid for stuff that goes online.

I think you should get paid, don't you? Is that what IHTG is supposed to do, set up streaming ads?

"We'll resume Joanne's Journey in just a moment. But first a word from Dion-No.

Are you tired of Stephane Dion? How about Celine Dion? Look no further, buy the brand new Dion-No from Harper Industries. When attached to your TV, radio and internet connections, the Dion-no works for you, changing the channel whenever any of these annoying Dions is mentioned. Guaranteed to prevent any Dions from receiving any streaming ad revenue from your media viewing. Great for uninterrupted family time! Great for your blood pressure! Get the new Dion-no today!

And now we return to Joanne's Journey where we see a comment in progress"

... and the best part of the strike has been watching people go quiet when they had nobody putting words in their mouths.

Darn, now there will be an academy awards show. Wont watch it, haven't since they first started wearing ribbons for aids. If they were to wear yellow ribbons for the troops, I might change my mind.
I have a cousin in Arizona who has just discovered Corner Gas, on an american network.

Same here. They're so self-obsessed and yet political at the same time - because they want to draw more attention to themselves. I especially despise George Clooney. Used to like him, but not any more.

Actually, I really have no time for TV anyway other than MDL and a few others. Way to much to read.

I could care less. I can count the quality shows worth watching on one hand......but I can live without television very easily..and do.

My treat re: television watching is when we're at the cottage on Manitoulin and can get the old situation comedies of the 1960s that can never be remade..you had to be there like: Beverly Hillbillies, Get Smart, Green Acres, Bonanza, old Disney 'Wonderful World of Colour", and Little House on the Prarie before the kids got married....man, could that Michael Landon cry or what???

Haven't had a tv in three years... were the writers on strike? I didn't notice.

The ubiquitous Celine Dion irritates the hell out of me, because I just don't "get" her music. Has she ever had an original, dangerous, musical idea?

Stephane Dion is not quite as irritating, since I can ignore him most of the time. He'd make a good MP some day.

Not sure what's wrong with that. I know they're shallow media-driven people, but I find that relatively unoffensive.

I don't put the Support the Troops ribbons on my modest vehicle. I support them by voting for the party that will keep them best equipped to defend themselves, which really is more effective.

I like MDL, and the CTV & CBC new programs. I have a brain, so I can filter out most of the media-bias.

I'm also addicted to Battlestar Galactica. Yeah, I'm a fracking geek.

The problem with stars making political stmts at award shows, or other venues, is that a good portion of their fans belong to the other side. And, they wonder why ticket sales are down and cd sales are down.
Wonder how all those suffering from BSD will act come November, especially if McCain wins.
