Why don't we just canonize him?

Henry Morgentaler for Order of Canada - via Dust my Broom:

“It's blasphemy that this hasn't happened, a national embarrassment,” said Cathie Colombo, the long-time assistant to Dr. Morgentaler who is leading the charge. Ms. Colombo said a new nomination will be sent to the Chancellery of Honours within days. “Even if you don't agree with his views, you can't deny the impact he's had on Canadian society.”
You sure can't.

That's a lot of little lives snuffed out.

Sidenote
:

I'm sure that Preacher Suzuki would be in favour of Henry Morgentaler receiving the Order of Canada. Why not? He's got one too, for his "unwavering dedication to sustainable development and for his criticism of human activities that threaten our planet."

How many of those tiny souls might have grown up to be carbon-emitting, earth-fouling defilers of Mother-Earth, or even worse - 'Denier' politicians who would have required imprisonment for their lack of faith in his side of 'the science'?

Let us all give thanks that Henry Morgentaler's mother chose not to have an abortion.

More like a lot of blastocysts, or perhaps collections of cells, that by most reasonable assessments could be referred to as womb boogers.

But by all means, get on Harper to make this an issue in the next election. Isn't this part of his agenda, and if not, then what is wrong with you people?

Hmmm... wonder how many lives he's directly or indirectly responsible for destroying? One could say he's Canada's worst serial killer. But those lives apparently "don't count" so it's all good.

Anon at 01:32:00 AM - Thanks for your observations from the fruit-fly gallery.

Yes Anonymous at 0132:00, just "a lot of blastocysts, or perhaps collections of cells, that by most reasonable assessments could be referred to as womb boogers" like you.

Anon: That is all anyone is. A collection of cells with a mix of plasma and blood. So what is the difference between a person that is unformed , or misformed verses you and me. When it is time for you to leave the mortal coil, lets hope God has mercy on your soul as he does for the innocent children killed by the money hungry abortionists, and not see your life and actions as just the effulence of "womb boogers". What an unbelievable cold and worthless way to describe a life. But then again it apears your brain is a collection of cranial boogers.

Psssst Anon 1:32's womb boogers post was sarcasm.

If HM, heaven forbid, were ever given the order of Canada I wonder how many deserving individuals would return theirs?

Yes make it political even though it is not it is up to society to protect the most vulnerable that is the unborn child

Do you really want Dion to be called a baby killer is he not Roman Catholic?

This might have been mentioned, but will mention it again.
There is a poll at the Globe and Mail, left hand side of page,
Should HM receive the Order of Canada. Get over there and vote,
right now 77% say NO.

I see the latest memo from CPC Central reads "Always mention Morgentaler and Suzuki in the same sentence to as to conflate the two in the public mind". Last week it was "always mention Suzuki and Dion together".

Why not make it a gang of four? Dion, May, Morgentaler and Suzuki. You can still count them on one hand, so it shouldn't be a problem.

So what is the difference between a person that is unformed , or misformed verses you and me.
Every sperm is sacred. Or are you only referring to fertilized eggs? What's the difference? Any cell can be cloned and so is a potential human being.

When it is time for you to leave the mortal coil, lets hope God has mercy on your soul
That would be fine with me. I am only concerned by people like SUZANNE, who I must assume condones and supports the tracking down and extrajudicial murder of anyone opposed to her views. She has never denied this despite repeated requests.

as he does for the innocent children killed by the money hungry abortionists,
Please refer to God as He, not he. How can you claim to know who God will show mercy to, when you can't even refer to Him properly?

and not see your life and actions as just the effulence of "womb boogers".
If you know the mind of God, what are you doing here? What other claims do you make?

What an unbelievable cold and worthless way to describe a life.
Perhaps. Almost as bad as a Taliban, no?

But then again it apears your brain is a collection of cranial boogers.
You're pretty good at the unbelieve cold and worthless ways to describe a life yourself.

None of this is reason that we should force women to have babies they do not want. The State should not have an interest until birth. There is no purpose served by making abortion illegal.

If women do not want babies I have a simple solution

DON'T GET PREGNANT!!!!!!

We live in a very modern society it is not necessary to have abortion on demand

Married women demanding two and three abortions because they don't want children

Society WAKE UP !!!!!!

Liberal Supporter: your fisking is too easy to rebut so I shan't waste my time as everyone on here knows what the arguments against your serious weak and specious statements would be.
I like how Libs use God's name and imagery when needed but otherwise are Pol Pot atheists.
I agree, women do have a choice when it comes to their reproductive status: and that is to have sex only with a man they are married to or one who intends to support their child together in a nuclear family.

That is a lie. I have condemned violence against abortion clinics on my blog. People are free to disagree with me on my blog, so long as they remain reasonably civil. Far from murdering people, I let them disagree with me on a daily basis.

I do not recall ever being asked my views on this. If a person wanted to know about my views about violence against ANYONE, all they'd have to do is search my blog. The fact that a person made such a rash, calumnious and public judgment about me without doing that first says to me he is more interested in propaganda and smearing me than finding the truth.

I'm sorry Suzanne. That one got by me. I wasn't checking each comment very carefully or I wouldn't have let that one through. If you want me to delete it, I'll do so.

No, no, Joanne. He's been exposed for the liar that he is. Let it stand.

79% are opposed to this on the Globe and Mail website. Good

Re: Dr. Morgentaler

He has all of his life to repent of the thousands of babies that he has aborted if he asks forgiveness and repents of all those murders at the last moment of his life and therefore he will get into heaven, just as those who have worked in God's vineyard and borne all the labor and heat of working for God all of their lives and have not done what Henry did.

The question is, will he be so convinced at his life's end that what he was doing down here all his life was wrong or will he go to the grave convinced of the rightness of his cause and therefore unrepentant and therefore not get that free pass into heaven.
But the offer of forgiveness upon his repentance still remains right till the end of his life-

"to repent or not to repent--that is the big question!"
