And in other Hill news, Dion is hot for an election (although he may be the only one):
Fife noted, however, that the divisions over calling an election call run deep in the Liberal Party. He said senior Liberals such as Ralph Goodale, Michael Ignatieff, and Bob Rae don't want an election right now.
"One senior member of parliament said to me, either we're going to get (Dion) to change his mind or maybe we're going to have to push him off the ledge," Fife said.

And Angus is happy with the lack of journalistic accountability of the CBC... as long as the balance of bias tilts his way!
If it were a predominantly NDP Senate...
What color will the cookies be? Blue as in berry? Or berry delicious? Enjoy your "holiday".
They'll be cleody cookies, Teddy.
heheheh.... Want to bet that Dion has put himself int the same bind he's been putting the LPC in??
A couple of these slime balls are bound to have better political sense than to let him take them all down with him.
A putsch for the putz!
If it were a predominantly NDP Senate...
Highly unlikely as they favor abolition.
I was very disappointed in this debate. Because Angus immediately and loudly hijacked the debate to push his parties policy to abolish the Senate (I'm not defending the Senate BTW) the subject of the cost of the junkets virtually never came up. This was an opportunity to put two senators on the spot for profligate spending and it didn't happen. By his actions I think Angus did more to protect the Senators than George Baker could have done in his wildest dreams.
Good point, Teddy. I didn't think of it that way.
