The way things are going...

... you have to wonder if Dion is going to be putting forward a private member's bill to extend the 4-year mandate of this government in 2009?

I can just hear it now - "Mr. Speaker, Canadians still don't want an election..."

The National Post asks how much longer the Party of Shame will be able to continue with this pathetic strategy.

Friday Update: Humiliation follows humiliation for Dion - Lorne Gunter:

...Now it should be clear that there is no principle greater to the Liberals than winning the next election. Nothing -- no policy or ideal -- is worth more. There is no principle they would not sacrifice for power and no principle for which they would fight a losing battle...

There has been a big change in the Liberals lately. Bob Rae is in the House and all his supporters that have been dragging their feet on election readiness are now going to be working hard getting ready for an election. The big question now is whether there will be enough Liberal MPs that are worried about their less than safe seats to derail an election for June or the fall at the latest.

There is a slight possibility that the bloc will vote with the government if they can plausibly support a particular bill, however they certainly can't afford to be seen as taking the Liberals place in supporting anything the government puts forward. Get out your walking shoes and toughen up your knuckles, because the next election is later this year. (You don't have to campaign in your own riding.)

Mmm... That is somewhat cryptic.

There may be only one issue that I agree with SW's real opinions on. Otherwise he is very red or even orange. I wouldn't be campaining in Kitchener Center if I was still living down there.

Swift, I hear you. I totally agree.

There are other more worthy causes.
