Another Liberal leaves

Just announced on MDL - The Liberal candidate for Joliette is leaving the party due to lack of confidence in Mr. Dion.

Caught off-guard, Scott Brison's reaction was something along the line of well once Canadians get to know Stephane Dion, they'll like him.

Apparently the candidate from Joliette never had the pleasure.

Update to follow when links available.

I was more sickened watching Libby Davies rant about being nicer to drug dealers and not "heavy handed" ike the Conservatives. What an idiot.

That whole segment was incredible. Who was it that said that we wouldn't have crime if all the kids were in daycare? Was that Brison? I'll have to watch that clip again.

The stampede to leave the grits in Quebec is astounding. Another one bites the dust.

It is interesting that a number of Liberals are jumping ship at a time when Opposition leader, Stephane Dion, needs them the most. It reflects very poorly on his leadership skills. It gives the impression that there is nobody in charge.

Brison basically said that if we had the Liberals' day care plan, there would be fewer crimes. What an arrogant piece of slime. It's almost worse than the beer and popcorn statement. Libby Davies is a typical leftist idiot who thinks that we should just give in and let people do what they want and that any kind of punishment is cruel and unusual. There are no victims in her world. Her and Brison made me gag!

I have to agree that the two opposition house leaders seemed a bit out there tonight, did they have no idea what they were going to talk about before the cameras came on. If that is the kind of rebuttal that Mr. Harper has to worry about on the campaign trail, then he has no worries

Kingston, yeah. Amateur hour for sure.

BTW, Sara has a great post up!

From the Conservatives' perspective, if this Liberal backstabbing and exodus continues it may turn out to be too much of a good thing. I hear that there are few mechanisms to force a leader out in the Liberal party, but at some point Stephane Dion may come to the realization that he's bad for the party and he may resign. I don't know how stubborn he is. However, it is apparent to me and probably most of you that the Libs will likely never hold power under Dion. A leadership change, say to Iggy, would revitalize the party and pose a serious threat to the Conservatives. If Dion is able to come to grips with that reality, I think we may see a leadership change sooner than you think. Especially if things continue to slide like they have.

chernokov, for Dion to resign, he'd have to admit that he's no leader. Not going to happen.

As for the MDL clip, I moved on to the next shortly after Brison opened his mouth. Honestly. Why does he keep getting re-elected? Liberals and NDP alike malign Myron Thompson, but AT LEAST he stays away from the cameras/mikes most of the time (thank God).
