Couple suing Provincial Government and OPP

I was wondering how long it would take before someone finally said enough is enough.

You won't believe the nightmare this couple has been living in Caledonia. This is happening in a supposedly civilized country!

Well, Premier McGuinty, you bought the land, which the taxpayers had to pay for, and now you're being sued, which the taxpayers will have to pay for.

Meanwhile things seem to be going from bad to worse.

Four more years of this???

I sympathize with the couple who are suing the Province of Ontario and the OPP, as their lives have been turned into a living hell by the refusal of the province and the police force to enforce law and order. They should probably get together with other Caledonia residents and make it a class action lawsuit.

After almost 2 years of fruitless negotiations with the natives, nothing has been accomplished. Premier McGuinty needs to demonstrate leadership and show his commitment to the rules of law and order applied fairly and equally to everyone in the Province of Ontario.

It is time for Premier McGuinty and the Provincial Liberal government to stop hindering the OPP from doing their job. It is time for an ultimatum to be issued to these natives to pull down their barricades and withdraw from Caledonia or face being forcibly removed.

If the natives had occupied Queens Park and surrounding areas in the same manner as they had done in Caledonia, there is no doubt in my mind that they would have been forcibly removed a long time ago.

I wonder if there is a native claim to Queen's Park? That would be poetic justice.

How about a claim to where McGuinty lives?

Brian, if he lives close to the Grand River, he should be concerned. But I doubt he is.

How is all this playing out in Alberta? Does it make the news at all?
