It seems that a Sault Ste. Marie man will have to pay a hefty fine for helping himself when he discovered that the door of a Beer Store was unlocked!!!

As good a job? Gee, I'm fairly certain that most convenience store folks would remember to lock up...

How ironic!!
Some years back, on a quiet night, I was working patrol and I decided to rattle doorknobs in the downtown core. Strangely enough, I found an open door... at the bank! I walked inside and discovered the alarm wasn't set. I called our police dispatcher and got the phone number of the branch manager. Then, using her phone from her desk, I placed a call asking her to come down and secure the place. She came right away and I suspect someone got an earful the next morning.
Gee, once incident and your wetting your pants.
