Breaking News

Virginia Tech killer had sent package to NBC between shootings.

* * * *

Thursday Update: Upon reflection, I suppose I'm wondering how Virginia Tech harbored such a psychopath without anyone having enough concern to really take some action?

The package mailing is, to me, just the latest disturbing development we've seen as this case unfolds. When you really stop to think about it, such an action in between phases of a murderous rampage is really quite the megalomaniacal thing to do. He crafted his own farewell message and thus ensured that his name will gain even more notoriety, overshadowing almost completely those who he murdered and their stories. I can't recall hearing anything like this, such a grab for the spotlight, in any other murder case.

RGM - Agreed. NBC is taking quite a tongue-lashing over it too. They didn't need to air as much as they did.

They walk among us everywhere.
BTW - no compunction on the part of NBC and the rest when it comes to inviting the next one to follow in those same footsteps with a virtual guarantee of media immortality!

What a bunch of lowlifes!

A couple of things I heard on the Hannity show this aft.

1.Cho was diagnosed as "an imminent danger to himself and others" at a mental hospital and then released.

2.West Virginia passed a law prreventing a university from expelling or suspending a student for mental illness.
