This is particularly noteworthy for me since I am related to his "true love". So no more Star-bashing. I thought that I should disclose that particular conflict of interest and editorial bias.
This is going to be exceedingly difficult for me, especially after reading the Atkinson Principles summary.
But I do wish Fred and Liz all the best. The Record's level of credibility and objectivity has improved greatly under Fred's watch.
I know that Star will experience the same positive results.

Having a bit of trouble with links. For the Record article, go to "Front" for "Kuntz Named Editor of Star".
For Star article, go to "From Immigrant Roots to Star Publisher" on main page.

S'alright -the rest of us will take up the slack in Star bashing to compensate. It's not like it's hard to do...
lol! Thanks, Paul.
The first thing Fred can do is help me figure out why only Torstar links give me so much grief!!!
Try this one for the Star
Thanks, Paul! For some reason, the Torstar links keep getting messed up if I update too often. I think I'll just leave it as is, and put any additional links here in comments.
Hey Joanne!
I read the "Atkinson Principles". They are the perfect formula for a bloated, interventionist, citizen-enfeebling nanny state. How apropos for the Toronto Star - national propaganda rag for the gliberal left.
(See - we can bash The Star for you!)
I seldom read the Star, and when I do it's the same sicky sweet talking down to you shaming and cajoling rhetoric. It's as annoying as the Sun would be if every column was written by Rachel Marsden. Annoying in a different way, but it permeates the entire Star.
You'll have to get pgp's advice on maintaining peace in the family. Or read a book called "how to talk to a liberal". Yes, reading an Ann Coulter book would be like a month of reading the Star every day.
But I've also read that reading stuff (or anything) that "makes your blood boil" helps mobilize your immune system and keep it in top shape.
Therapeutic reading!
lol!!! Thanks, Joe! Vicarious bashing is better than none. ;)
O.K. Andy, I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt here, and ask you to expand on that thought, bearing in mind that I hold the delete key very close to my trigger finger.

Or raise your blood pressure...
;)
And two years later he was canned. End of story.
