Thanks, Jack!

What will Dion help Harper do next?

On MDL tonight - NDP to table several non-confidence motions next week. What will Dion do?

* * * *
Update: H/T to Molarmauler in comments for this one!

The Liberal Party is going to move a non-confidence motion against - wait for it . . . the OTHER TWO OPPOSITION PARTIES!!!!

You can't make up stuff like this.

I'm so excited, I just posted a link from The Star over at Chucker's.
Dion proposed counterattack is laughable

Sounds a bit like kindergarten to me and a well-paid kindergarten at that.

Someone needs to point out a few things to Dion and the Liberals.

1. Liberal's had a majority in 2004 when Paul Martin became PM.

2. Martin called an election even though he had 18 months left in the mandate from the previous election.

3. The reason for calling the election was to get another majority before the truth came out about Adscam.

4. Liberal's tried every trick in the book after being knocked down to minority government, including giving Stronach a cabinet position even though many long-time Libs were far more deserving. Liberal's were also willing to spend in excess of $4 billion in taxpayer money to get Layton and the NDP to keep them in power. Cancelled opposition days, and ignored votesd of confisence they lost.

5. Last, but not least, Liberal's were brought down due to themselves. If they never took Canadian's for such little regard as to steal millions from them, they might very well still be in power, and with a majority. The fact that they think any of the opposition parties should prop them up after admitting the kickback scheme shows just how far their arrogance had run amok.

How's the back, Paul?

This is just too funny. Now the grits are going to attack the other two parties. its time to get rid of the gun registry and get an elected senate. din and the gang are utterly toothless. Apparently the grits will be begging in front of parliament inorder to get money to pay ther lawyers.

Not to bad. It's arhritic from an injury several years ago. Had two bone spurs removed that were pinching the nerve and cleaned things up. Should be back to normal in a few days.

Of course the kids don't know that and I'll milk it for another few weeks. Even sucked them into shovelling the driveway and doing laundry:0)

Well Paul, probably a good idea to give your back as much rest as possible. You sure don't want to pull anything now.

WHERE'S STEFFO ?

lol! And where's Steffo's caucus?

We haven't done anything to justify our existence, but man, you should have seen us back in 2005!!

Add to Paulstuff's list ...

#7 Paul Martin promised that he himself would call an election within 30 days of the final Gomery report.

So that meant an election would have been held in early 2006, instead of Nov 2005. The Libs would have survived about three months longer.

When this vote comes up re the opposition motion, what if PMSH decides to pull a liberal trick and abstain.
They should get the word out they will support the liberal motion, to show they can work with them.

If we are going to keep playing this abstain game on the LPC side, I feel the CPC should offer to pair member for member with the LPC for every member of the LPC that cannot make it into the HoC to vote or at least to sit in their official seat they were elected to represent, no more hiding being the curtains. Besides that it would be funny to see what the LPC would counter with

Joanne - sort of O/T - it appears that Naftagate just got a whole lot more complicated.

According to Dave Rutherford's show, Brodie offhandedly mentioned CLINTON had called to some reporters. Somehow between that discussion and CTV's report it was changed to Obama. Apparently, there is a lockdown at CTV-no one is talking.

So my question to the oppostion is - Who, in fact, REALLY derailed Obama's campaign? Who was behind the "change" and for what reason?

Wow! Any links yet?

I wonder what MDL will say about it if anything?

Joanne (True Blue) said...

Oh, I think I found it.

What a mess!

The story on NAFTA has disappeared from the CTV website. Something's up.

Joanne (True Blue) said...

Ruth, I'll bet somebody is in big trouble!

Please let me know if you find anything out. Thanks.

the story just now in NW and CBC says that CTV changed the story

I guess Bob Fife hung up on Dave and Mike Duffy told him flat out he would not talk about NAFTA and then refused to be on the program.

Something is definitely going on - we will see how this all shakes out and if it suddenly becomes a non-issue.
