Attacking the messenger

Via a reader - British police support worker Philip Balmforth has been removed from his duties, and faces a disciplinary meeting for talking to the press about Asian girls in the school system who go missing and often end up in forced marriages - Policeman who exposed forced marriages faces sack for 'shaming' his city.

So the 'honour' and image of the city is more important than trying to lessen the incidence of abduction and rape? And if we don't hear about it, then it doesn't happen?

Meanwhile we get a lesson here in how our poor Western morals make us 'hypocrites' for suggesting that forced marriages with children are anything but noble.

Canada should take note.

Hate to say it but he (in Video at LGF) has a point here...

"How can you permit the outcome without accepting the cause? Why do you allow your girls to have sex and say this is an individual liberty? It is okay to fornicate with girls there or force them to have sex, and so on, and they have the right to have an abortion. If you permit all this before the age [of 18], without a marriage contract and without any legal grounds – how come you forbid marriage?"

How many parents are pushing the pill on the girls and condoms on the boys before highschool?

Did you know that school staff can whisk the girls away and talk them in to an abortion without parent's permission but if the kids a have a headache the staff can't give an aspirin without parent's permission.
The truth hurts...and it reminds me of what Jesus said about the plank in our( Canadian society's) eyes.

And I hope I'm wrong but I don't have a good feeling about the missing college girl in Ottawa. Was that an arranged marriage gone wrong?

Anon, I was thinking that way too until I starting reading the comments in LGF and they point out the issue of force vs. choice, and of course the age difference.

And I hope I'm wrong but I don't have a good feeling about the missing college girl in Ottawa. Was that an arranged marriage gone wrong?

I didn't hear about that. Can you provide more details or links? Thanks.

It's amazing how subtle the messaging is and how easily we can be taken in.

BTW...the rest of his statement is very disturbing, I agree.

Anon, thanks for the link about the missing college girl. I had seen something about that a few days ago on the news, but hadn't been able to catch the whole story. Yes, that sounds very suspicious and worrisome.

I see the link was cut off in comments.

Story here.

Whoa, yes I saw that too. Very disturbing. It reminds me a bit of the attitude of the Jehovah Witnesses.

So if Blamforth was fired for shaming his city .... that would be an "Honour Sacking" ......

Apparently my Ma's adage that "Two Wrongs do not a Right make! " has never become known to some (many?) ....
