...Conservatives correctly complain the oft-documented aversion of women voters to their leader is actually less pronounced than male discomfort with Mr. Dion, a trend increasingly evident in Ipsos Reid polling numbers shared with senior public servants last week.
Ipsos-Reid president Darrell Bricker notes that the traditional softness of male support for the Liberals has drooped to an alarmingly flaccid state since Mr. Dion became party leader 16 months ago.
The Harper Conservative male-voter lead over the Dion Liberals is now at an almost insurmountable 14 points -- 41% versus 27% for the Liberals...
So, in the interest of trying to protect the CPC's best weapon, here is my suggestion to the Liberal party - Try a T-shirt.

So what's the status on the
I AM WOMAN - I LIKE HARPER
shirts? Haven't heard back from anyone after placing my order for several dozen.
Good question. I'll contact Mary T who knows Shirley.
I'm just guessing here:
The feminists like their men 'emasculated'.
I personally find Harper very masculine...I like that!
and Dion...well not so...
Are they surveying a feminist crowd?
Just putting that out there...
Don't worry, the shirts are in production. Shirley is a one woman operation, her inventory of shirts was limited when I started this, (without telling her it may take-off). I will call her today, as I left her alone till after Easter.
Thanks to all that have ordered. You will get them.
With all the problems Dion is having in Que, maybe it is time for Ezra to bring back his LIBRANO T-shirt.
Personally, I find PM Harper attractive not just because of his looks, but because he is clearly a family man, he's honest, and he is Prime Minister because he wants to make Canada a better place for ALL Canadians, not just his buddies.
I have to agree anonymous re: polling a feminist crowd for their results that indicate Harper is NOT TRUSTED by women. You have to wonder..I agree. For me, he is masculine(god-forbid)and it leaves me to get on with my life when I'm not terrified about what is coming out of my leaders' mouths. I've felt that way with each of the liberal administrations. HArper is intelligent, honest and a brilliant strategist. The Liberals shoul be so lucky. Love what's going on in Quebec. Brings a smile to my face.
There is definatly a Swiss Family Robinson type of charm to Harper, and I have heard ladies in my family say he is good looking (which shouldn't be an issue, but tends to be). He is a straight shooter, he is witty, family oriented, smart, a tactition, can exhibit masculine bravado, a true Western (civilization) leader.
Mary T- might be a good idea to have those shirts in French too - I'm sure the party organizers in Quebec would like them also.
What I like best about Harper, and what I find attractive is his confidence. Cool Confidence. Doesn't give himself away, but there's a feeling of being protected with him.
Dion doesn't have it, never did.
Iggy comes closest I'd say but by association to his leader his rating's going down. Definately a stand-alone leader is what the federal Liberals could use.
McGuinty maybe? He could have a attractive quality about him if only he weren't such a serial whiner...kind of like the kid in school who'd rat you out for a misdeed.
It's very simple really...Harper is an ass kicker, Dion is an ass kickee.
The man eats hotdogs with a knife and fork! Sheesh!
Imagine if you were trapped on the tenth floor of a burning building. Imagine there are 2 people who can get you out: Harper or Dion. Who would you choose? Harper is steadfast, calm, logical, and gets things accomplished. I can't say any of those things about Dion.
