Is Stephane Dion a Gay-Rights Denier?

It works both ways, Stephane.

Was the Leader of the Opposition misleading Canadians then, or is he misleading them now?

- Or maybe he is a 'tactic' denier.

Meanwhile, the Toronto Sun has some excellent advice for Stephen Harper. Anyone who is truly concerned about the environment, rather than cheap political games should give this editorial some serious thought.

Heck, even the strategists could learn something from it.

So Dion was for gay marriage until he was against it. Then he was for it again.

But Liberals have a problem with Harper re-thinking his position about the environment?

Just another example of slef righteous, arrogant, Liberal hypocricy.

Did you hear that the Harper government is proposing changes to the Criminal Code that would legalize "anal sex". Anal sex! Why can't Harper stand up for family values?

I await with bated breath for the MSM to show the Dion clips on TV and for stories about his flip-flop in the papers.......

Yeah Right! HYPOCRASY!!!!

Not sure what Anon's point was, though????? - any thoughts??

Probably something to do with age of consent. The proposal is to raise the age from 14 to 16 of course, but gay rights activists say it is unfair that anal sex is not legal until age 18 (I think).

They are arguing that it should be a level "playing field" (sorry about that). I didn't know Harper was on board with that, but I don't see how one type of sexual activity can be discriminated against in this day of 'anything goes'.

"Since then, he has done a 180-degree turn, and now demands our troops be withdrawn."

I don't think Ezra Levant is correct in saying the above. While I'm not trying to defend Mr. Dion, I believe what he has said is similar to the Bloc's: define the mission because the Canadian people don't know what the mission is, according to Dion & the Bloc.

It is disingenous on Dion's part, though, because the Liberals were the ones who assigned our troops to the most dangerous area of Afghanistan, the mission comprising three Ds: defence, diplomacy and development.

Also, when he calls for a debate, Mr. Dion forgets to mention he was not present at either one that took place:
Nov. 15, 2005 and April 10, 2006.

As far as gay marriage is concerned, Anne McLellan, Paul Martin, Jean Chretien also voted FOR the traditional definition of marriage in 1999 and then they changed their minds. Based on conviction? I don't think so.

Just more proof that words are all that matters to the Libs and their friends in the media.

Harper will continue to enact environmental legislation. But he will be judged against, not his actions, but liberal words (not deeds) and five year old words of his own.

All the liberals seem to have to do is spout empty rhetoric and the media fawns. Harper actually introduces the Clean Air act and is lambasted.

And while the Libs poor record was given lip service at first, the media seems to have erased from the record the fact that we're environmentally screwd because of over a decade of Liberal enaction.

Now, no matter what Harper does, it will be considered a failure - that's the liberal media predetermined story line. The standard has been set by the most radical leftist groups, which the media parrots as "experts". Short of shutting down the economy, the media will get their blood.

After literally no attention from the press after a decade of Lib enaction.

If this latest media driven frenzy isn't the most blatant example of agenda journalism, I don't know what is.

Yeah, it's pretty hard to pin down Dion's stand on anything - even his dual citizenship.

Such fun watching the Liberals get pummelled day after day in commons. Baird is certainly the right guy for the job as far as making them look the fool.

My question was loaded, just like Dion's question. Your answer was not a simplistic yes or no; neither was Harper's answer.
