Blowing in the wind

Ezra Levant comments on the tendency of Stephane Dion to switch positions according to political expediency.

He also suggests another reason why Steffi may be siding with the Bloc and NDP to kill the Liberal's own security laws - pay back time for Muslim support during the leadership race.

Oh, well. At least Dion is "authentic", according to Karen Redman. Whatever that means.

* * * *

Update: Check out tonight's Mike Duffy - Iggy tells Mike that even though the polls are favouring the Conservatives (especially the new Strategic Counsel poll), that voters need to compare Dion and Harper.

He says Dion is "a man of courage; conviction; this man really believes this stuff on the environment". "Mr. Harper makes it up".

What utter arrogance! Harper makes it up!

And BTW, Iggy, if Stephane Dion is believing all the hot air that Suzuki and company are dishing out, I wouldn't be bragging about it.

That's not being courageous. It's called being gullible.

Authentic - as in the real thing?

But what sort of thing?
A thing Like Redman Herself?

Or a more general sort of thing?

I have only heard her use the word 'authenic' when descibing Stephane.

I'm guessing that is sufficiently ambiguous enough to be able to placate the next leader without showing too much favoritism.

Ah yes Liberal Bafflegab .... the all purpose tool of obfuscation.

Well he certainly is an authentic Liberal: he'll say anything to try and get elected

"Authentic" is currently growing in use in the pop psychology lexicon.

If you've ever heard someone talk of being "in the moment" or saying anything about their "inner child", you can bet they will also be talking about how "authentic" they are, or how they will seek "authentic" experiences. They probably wore crystals in the 90s.

Even though I try to eat "organic" and "natural" foods, I also like to tease people who are too pretentious in this by telling the, "well everything under the sun is natural, by definition" or "you take multivitamins with minerals, how can minerals be organic?".

I won't demandyou explain your crackpots if you don't demand we explain ours. Maybe we can play matchmaker with Ezra and Karen. Don't opposites attract?

You could also mention to them that arsenic is an element, and what could be more natural than consuming one of nature's elements?

Yes, but matter and anit-matter do have this nasty habit of annihilating each other.

In the case of nitwits like Ezra Levant and Karen Redman, we should all be so lucky.

Uhuh! Ezra Levant makes his living by Investing by writing and by speaking!

Red Tory spends his time haunting Joanne's blog......and Levant is an idiot!

Something to Consider..........

Interesting that someone haunting this blog would imply those who haunt this blog are idiots.

And aside from frequenting Joanne’s blog, what does sweater guy do? He posts salacious pictures of scantily clad young women along with juvenile commentary on his own sadly uninhabited blog; that is when he’s not raving like a deranged kook about the nefarious MSM and the perfidious leftists that are supposedly destroying Canada. Quite the full life there alrighty…

LS -- Conservatives, in addition to lacking a sense of humour, also suffer from a chronic deficiency in the irony department.

There is the viewpoint that the left can't recognize irony when it slaps them in the face. Are you Red because of your ppolitics or the colour of your cheeks?

Au contraire, RT. We conservatives do have a great sense of humour. This is how we were able to put up with over 12 years of Liberal rule. And as far as irony, it is what helped us end the Conservative schism. (What I mean by the latter is that since the schism was the result of actions/decisions by people who ended up on the opposite sides of the chasm, it was only appropriate with more than a touch of irony that both sides took part in ending it.)
