Puffery exposed

Ontario Government - World class smokescreen.

H/T National Newswatch.

Meanwhile, the Ontario Environment Minister is busy planning her four-car garage. Well, she's gotta spend that raise somewhere...

Update:

Oh here's a good one - Ontario schools to receive Gore's ‘Truth':

Ontario Environment Minister Laurel Broten says the former U.S. vice-president's film will inspire students to “reduce their environment impact.”

Tides Canada Foundation director Tim Draimin says the film helps viewers think about the long-term implications of lifestyles.

Could someone please drop off a copy to Laurel? Perhaps she could play it for the kids when driving around in one of those four vehicles. I'm sure one has a DVD player.

4 cars??? Totally entitlement for the entitled.

Another example of the "do as I say not as I do" mantra of this government.

lol! Yeah, I saw a clip on Global. She was under fire from her neighbours because her two-story garage may threaten the life of a nearby tree!

I wonder if the garage complex will be heated???

Another neighbour, John Sullivan, said he signed the petition opposing the project because he's concerned the garage will overshadow the neighbouring house belonging to the "sweetest" elderly woman.

"If it were next to me I would be upset about it," he said.

Sullivan said Robinson and Broten's husband have not had an amicable relationship since the power couple built a swimming pool in their backyard, and Robinson's problems with backyard flooding went from a spring phenomenon to a much more common complaint.
.

Mmmm.. There wouldn't be harmful chemicals like chlorine in that water, would there?

there is a web site I go to sometimes to calculate my carbon footprint. It is: www.safeclimate.net

I did a quick calc on the Enviro' ministers 4 cars (counted as 3 SUVs) and put in 2000 kwhrs and province of Ontario and her family of 4 has a footprint of about 50tons per year.

Mine in BC for family of 2 old foggies is 1 ton per year. I may have some kyoto kredits for her!!

Good one, Teddi! What is it about these sanctimonious green gurus who live the good life but want us all to tow the line?

Unfortunately, Joanne, not even liberals or "progressives" are immune from human nature, despite what so many of them seem to profess.

Awesome. Thanks, Tori.

This one's hilarious:

My mother taught me never to complain about what I have when there are people out there with much bigger problems. Yet here I am complaining about trying to fit my daughter's stroller, playpen, crib, toys and clothes into my 800-square-foot apartment when poor Laurel Broten is trying to fit four cars and a double stroller into the limited space her property provides. Shame on me.

I would love to have a four car garage... Maybe if I didn't have to pay some much in various levels of taxation, I could...

That's only for politicians, Mac!
