it is true he made you feel like he was all that and a bag of chips when he ran for Premier.

But the thing is no one said a personality of the year couldn't be a liar now did they.

if they ment personality who most resembles a stuck up english butler or schoolyard weasal or "leader" who leaves your ass hangin' in the breeze when your town is hijacked by pseudo-terrorists, then they're right. Sorry about the run on, but this guy REALLY bugs me.

From an outsider's point of view, I can see why he received that award. Beyond the politics of right/left, I think he does good job of representing Ontario.

liberal supporter said...

On that note, I think Steve aquitted himself very well representing Canada at the U.N.

That award was well publicized weeks ago if not months..I'd read so much about it that I thought he'd already received the award!
There was much discussion back then and several bloggers debunked the initiatives behind it. I was left with the impression that the magazine did not even know what they were talking about.

BTW Harper and Karzai both aquitted themselves very well this week.

CBC / CTV not so much!

cbc and ctv did not cover the rally on the hill just Harpers speech,,, they should of done a live broadcast!

Aint' it a little early to be partaking ofthe weed??

So Harper and fiends violate privacy laws...
Mr. Harper goes to the US and delivers - yawn - a pro-war speech and will blame the failure of the Afghan mission on the UN...
The Cons violate election donation laws refuse to hand over books....
Harper's approval numbers are down and a big drop in the much needed province of Quebec....
Harper says it will waste 3.5$ billion in Afghanistan (bet you it will easily exceed that)

Hey, you are right, this was a fantastic week for Harper!

The mayor of Kabul came to Canada to ask for more money and soldiers - can't the use the profits for record heroin production instead?
It great to be propping out a puppet regime and all....

Well he did seems grateful in his speech and appreciative of Canada, which is more than I can say of Harper...

Your turn sweater guy.....

Swift said...

No we can't use the record production of heroin to fund the war on terror. It's already bing used to fund the Taliban's war on freedom.

Cherniak_WTF said...

Thanks Swift, so why was heroin production so low when the Taliban was in power?

I can't resist this.....Picture of a headline:
'Dandy McPersonality gets boffo nod from print folks in the "Old Blighty". Sod!'

Two World Class leaders who have integrity and the guts to stand up for real values in real issues.

And what do we get from the lib/left?

Snipes!

Cherniak_WTF said...

pgp - snipes?
I guess in your bizzaro world that's what you call the truth...

It amusing to see how certain on the right are so blinded by ideology that feel that talking points because arguments...

I like Joanne, at times she's ready to discuss issues but has this maddening habit of following party lines instead of her own logic. It's maddening and amusing, she'll be going in one direction (and resonable most of the times), then seems to go into brainwash mode and vomit the party line...

'Dandy McPersonality gets boffo nod from print folks in the "Old Blighty". Sod
Cute snipe....It's nice to see the welfare-right enjoy humour....

PGP said...

Sigh....Once again CWTF...you prove my point!
Yes the world is all about you and we all should acknowledge you and stand in awe of your brilliant reposte'.
Your insight and profound ability to sway the massses through the power of your words are great! We are all but humble plebians in your presence.

What will we do if ever you decide to abandon us and leave us to our own devices?

Really!

Wow, who needs to write a long post? A four word entry (minus title) draws 13 comments!

I know I'm lazy today, but I'll make it up.

I like Joanne, at times she's ready to discuss issues but has this maddening habit of following party lines instead of her own logic. Ah, at least you give me that much. That's a compliment compared to most of the stuff I've had hurled at me.

Sara, I've been away all day. Must catch up about the Hill rally!

Re: Dalton. If the British like him so much, maybe they can woo him to work over there; just like a certain OPP commissioner...

I start this petition to designate my desk to be the next winner of the Personality Award just won by Devious and Dastardly Dalton.

And, yes, my desk does have a suit jacket for public affairs.

Vote Early. Pretend you're a Liberal. Vote often.

(Pre-emptive riposte, to all you glibs opposed to my "Liberal? vote often" shot. I ref.Maria Minna et al.)

Just vote for my desk of wooden slabs. Just like Dalton. Maybe even more personality than Mister D.

A really inspiring story that may leave you wondering if there are more people like this around.

Not much, you seem to enjoy your incestuous little circle jerk.

Actually, there is lots happening today; Karzai's speech, and the big rally on the hill.

Check out BT.

Joanne (True Blue) said...

PGP - Yeah, I read that article at Darcey's. Excellent. Thanks for reminding me about that. When I get a little hot under the collar about Caledonia, I'll read that again and remind myself that that little group does not represent every native in Canada.

PGP said...

Cheers.....enjoy the weekend!

Joanne (True Blue) said...

Thanks, PGP! You too. Don't even think about politics. We all need a break.

Any day's a slow news day when the Liebranoids chase each others butts in ever-diminishing circles as they rush head-long to be the first one down the toilet drain.

Sailor Paul -- a "boil?"

Now that is one appropriate word image.

Har-Har!
