Truth or Dare

Over the past few days, I have received some glowing accolades for my investigative efforts involved in disclosing some of the junk science and shoddy MSM reporting behind the misleading claims of the YWCA study. I have also received a lot of flack from outraged bloggers who think I'm letting reporters like Alicia Kay Markson off the hook too easily.

What concerns me the most however are the comments from various sources that seem to be looking for someone to interpret the truth for them.

Just like the Garth Turner episode, I am merely trying to give you another side of the story to consider. If you want to do something with your anger, look for constructive outlets that might actually help improve things.

For example, you could:

The idea here is to assimilate information from all different sources, and then make your own decision. We have been so brainwashed by the Liberals into assuming we need to rely on Government for assistance from cradle to grave, that we have even relinquished our responsibility to objectively evaluate what is going on around us. We have turned into a nation of lemmings!

Well I, for one, am not going to do your thinking for you.

If you go the path of good relations, you'll get more information.

Do I think you are too kind to Garth? Yes. But, do I think I'm too hard on Garth? Probably.

You're on the right path, IMO, to accomplish an important goal.

Thanks, CC. I just added a bit to my post after you sent in this comment. You must have read it just before the edit, but the idea is the same.

IMO, the jury is still out on Garth, but just like our new Government, we need to give 'em all a chance. I think Garth has learned some valuable lessons in the last while, and may have re-evaluated his approach. If not, then I have no sympathy.

Anyway, thanks for the support. Yeah, burning bridges is something I learned only comes back to bite you.

Let's give CTV and the YWCA an opportunity to do the right thing!

The Liberal Party is now sending out this crap:

Canadian families, irrespective of where they live or the size of their communities, want their child care needs met by a nationally-funded public system and not a federal cash payout, according to a recent report by YWCA Canada.

The report’s findings are based on four community task forces held over the past year in four distinct communities across Canada: Halifax, Vancouver, Martensville, Saskatchewan, and Cambridge, Ontario.

Of course, they don't mention anything about the methods behind the study. What a bunch of liars.
