Lot's of crappy photos out there, on any politician
For sure. Harper's had his share.
Still that particular photo deserves a caption... such as..
"Hey, Keeeds, don't you know dat dere are a lot of greenhouse gas emissions coming from dat train ride? Wouldn't you like to get out an walk instead? Dat way you save de environment. C'mon now and Uncle Dion buy you a carbon credit too.
I'm from "the Bay".The local rag didn't even get a good picture of him!I'd love to see that one printed nationally. A good caption: "Dion begs for attention in North Bay"
Actually, I've been to North Bay more times than I can recall. Lots of family there. I'm sure the pic was of the life-sized model train on the waterfront (which was built courtesy in a large part of the dentist husband of cartoonist Lynn Johnston).
They also had a shot of Demarco's which I know is an icon there, but still...
Anyway, you guys have a great city there. The waterfront is absolutely gorgeous. I love walking along the government dock. Been out on the Chief Commanda a few years back too.
What a party crasher, the kids where having fun til Dion showed up. Dion is no Joe Volpe thats for sure. He might be better suited at the graveyard , I'm sure he and his party can rustle up a few dead folks to vote for him.

Wow, what a crappy photo.
Yeah. This is Stephane Dion trying to reach out to the common folk.
Poor kids are probably frustrated that their ride is being delayed by a pompous politician.

Chretien would have, at least, strangled the photographer and taken his camera.

LMFAO!
He shouldda shook their hands.
Or maybe he had just asked them for a donation (shades of Joe Volpe).
It is a crappy photo.. Dion is hoping that it doesn't get far with the media... unlike that one photo of Harper...

God's country. No doubt.
I have to wonder how bad it is these days that one has to rant over a photo - not a good one, but boy some of Harper's in the past were a lot worse.
This is silly, really very silly. Actually, not all that bad.
but boy some of Harper's in the past were a lot worse.
True, but I doubt any Conservative blog posted it as evidence of the media being "all over" the visit in a positive manner.

Jeff, Be careful here friend or we might start calling you on all the red neck speech patterns that are thrown around on Liblogs.
Rod is a wonderful person and neighbour!
Oh, yeah. Rod Johnston. I couldn't remember his first name. Big train enthusiast.
Vicki, we'll have to try to get together sometime when I'm up there. Maybe you could send me your email addy.
We used to go up there a lot for the Air Show, etc. on the Civic weekend. Saw Jann Arden there, and Leahy and countless others and various times.
Was just up there last week for a funeral.

If that was supposed to be a criticism, it had the impact of a pesky fly.
That would be a 'lady bug',joanne.
lol
I can understand Dion's wanting to connect with people. Unfortunately, this photo brings to mind the image of a train robbery.
