An Unexpected Christmas Gift

Via Greg Staples - Karen Redman slips up with email.

It would appear that she is looking for the Deputy Leader's job, but instead of sending the message to her daughter for advice, it was accidentally forwarded to all federal senators!

Well, we all make mistakes. The only problem is that if you're Deputy Leader, this kind of gaffe could have serious consequences.

Well, here in Liberal-dominated Southern Ontario, we haven't had a Cabinet Minister at either the federal or provincial level for ages, so we'll take any little bone that our thrown our way; even if it's just deputy leader of the opposition.

But first Ms. Redman should check with her colleague Mr. Brison about the perils of Blackberry carelessness.

Update: Step to the Right has also picked this up.

Ah, it's the thought that counts, Molar. Maybe I can re-gift...

BTW, I do feel a bit sorry for Ms. Redface, er, Redman. The story got picked up in the local paper today too. Front page.

Well, I'd take her over Hedy Fry any day!

Oh, and about the gift, I could always use another toothbrush. ;)

I would say the biggest embarassment of all in this is her English in the e-mail. Sure, in informal e-mails we all use short forms but that is just unforgivable. "...make another ask"? It leaves me shaking my head.

In the real world people lose their jobs for stupidity like that!
I would not expect the libs and Dion to do it but....Perhaps the voters of KW can introduce Redman to the real world!!

BTW- is that Blackberry being paid for by the taxpayers?

No, here we just keep voting Liberal. Just like lemmings.

The ballots all have magnets under the liberal name, and the pencils are metal so there is never any question.

I think everyone in Parliament gets a Blackberry courtesy of the taxpayer. Not positive about that though.
