Did John Tory blow it?

According to the Toronto Sun, he did.

I don't see much difference between the Ontario Liberals and Conservatives right now, and I could never vote NDP.

Green Party? Nah.

So who is the least horrible of all the choices? I suppose that's who I'll be voting for. *Sigh*

Vote Family Coalition Party of Ontario.

Sorry, just had to. :D

There would be no problem with the pay raise if they were doing a good job. Of course the Liberals were paid for the quality of the job they've been doing, they, long ago, would have been bankrupt.

Yeah, I figure the whole lot of them owe us money!

Freedom Party of Ontario?

lol! Thanks, Suzanne & Brian. I think I'll start my own party. Can't do any worse. (Actually I may consider Family
Coalition as a protest vote - but that would just help McGuinty get back in again.)

McGuinty, Tory, same difference.

Tory needs to go Tory or he's wasting everyone's time.

Face it; Liberals and Conservatives are not that different.

But Liberals would never call you a whore; that't where Conservatives think you belong to.

I would vote for the Green Party. This party wants change. And given the latest Pay Raise Scandal it is clearly time for change.

Enough of these blatant negative remarks from Tories (or do you consider "whore" postive?) and enough of last minute pay raises.

Onwards we go to a strong and independant Canada!

When will "conservatives" get it. Pandering to the middle doesn't work. We are CONSERVATIVES! Run for the liberals if you want.

Ferret, I agree. I've always said that the Ontario conservatives are just 'Liberal Lite". This proves it.

In the last federal election I did a lot of canvassing and the one thing I heard over and over was this refrain: "They're all the same".

I'm afraid that John Tory has done nothing to dispel that notion at the provincial level.

Anon at 03:21:27 AM. I've heard much worse name-calling than "whore" from all sides. You must lead a sheltered existence.

From the Star:

"Conservative Leader John Tory said he's not disappointed the Legislature is sitting this week because it gives his party more time to hold the government's feet to the fire on other issues.

"We've got three or four more question periods ... we've got lots of questions to ask."

Pull-eeze!!!! How stupid do you think we are Mr. Tory? I think I'm going to be sick.

Is Tory a centrist conservative?
Or is the media making him out to be softer than he really is?
My inside sources from the Ontario Conservatives say Tory is playing to the Liberal mainstream in the province.

I think it's a waste of time and that conservatives need to stand up for conservative values rather than being the reeds in the wind like the obvious Dalton McSpineless.......
However, Tory's team may be out to lunch and Tory himself may be just an opportunist weakling!
This bodes poorly for those voters who would like to rid themselves of the incompetents who run the province now!

PGP - I think Tory is an actual centrist, but I share your view that he just may be another Mcwimpy wannabee.

I doubt that I will help out in the provincial election. It is all too distasteful and revolting.

Get involved in your local riding assn.
You'll get a voice in what your candidate does.....it's probably the best way to make yourself heard within the party. Let them know you have blog and a readership that Votes!

That might work out your way, PGP, but Ontario is controlled by Toronto. I hate being so cynical, but anyone outside of TO has no say whatsoever.
