Right Back at Ya

Am I the only one suffering from political ennui concerning this finger-pointing going on regarding convention fees? David Akin also reports on the dispute.

The opposition is obviously desperate to get a little dirt on the Tories, but they're going to have to dig deeper. Let's just get a definitive interpretation and move on.

Canadians care about this as much as they do about the Press Gallery snit. Navel-gazing obviously isn't limited to Toronto.

Move on people... nothing to see hear. Get over it. No big deal. LOL. The irony is delicious.

It's pretty amazing that the costs to delegates for this leadership convention are more than twice as high as they were in 2003. Youth delegate fees for the Martin coronation were somewhere around $400, does anybody know if Youth members have to pay the same as the people at the grown-ups table, or did Joe Volpe manage to convince the party executive that fleecing university students is a great way to make money?

Thanks you for pointing out that, "Canadians care about this as much as they do about the Press Gallery snit."

I'm glad you're enjoying what you perceive to be irony, Red Tory, since there's precious little joy to be had in the Liberal ranks.

Presumably, you are drawing a comparison between AdScam where Liberals at the highest levels were involved in criminal activity and this situation where the opposition parties are trying to score cheap political points on interpretation of whether conference fees represent political donations or not. If you can find some irony in that, have at it!

It's not like the Conservatives were accepting donations from elementary students or anything.

Thanks, Mac. I couldn't quite see what Red's point was.

RT - Comparing Adscam to obvious confusion on all sides over convention rules is ridiculous.
