I also loved "The Beverly Hillbillies." That kind of innocent comedy is long gone. Too bad.

I wonder if people years from now will look back on anything from our era and say what great programs they were, and how innocent compared to what will be considered appropriate then? Now there's a scary thought!

Or will there be a huge shift back towards decency and wholesomeness? How far can things go?Joanne (True Blue)https://www.blogger.com/profile/17445664997050698154noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20283843.post-1140987339513479912006-02-26T15:55:00.000-05:002006-02-26T15:55:00.000-05:00I loved "Everybody loves Raymond" and I still watc...I loved "Everybody loves Raymond" and I still watch a Seinfeld episode every now and then. The only problem was there were episodes that were inappropiate for young children. But I look back and remember, "I love Lucy" and "Jackie Gleason" and realize what great comics they were and the whole family could watch them.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20283843.post-1140980862257395422006-02-26T14:07:00.000-05:002006-02-26T14:07:00.000-05:00Yeah, 7th Heaven is a great show. It's on Monday nights at 8 on the WB... mom thinks it got hoaky, but I still love it!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20283843.post-1140903074703715372006-02-25T16:31:00.000-05:002006-02-25T16:31:00.000-05:00*LOL* Thanks, Jennifer! If it's got any moral value at all, it probably won't be on long, so I'd better catch it now!Joanne (True Blue)https://www.blogger.com/profile/17445664997050698154noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20283843.post-1140902331651464832006-02-25T16:18:00.000-05:002006-02-25T16:18:00.000-05:00I have to agree with Steph on this one, I am addic...I have to agree with Steph on this one, I am addicted to reality shows. But also there are some good shows on TV, such as 7 th heaven which I am also addicted to. I think this show has to be one of the only shows on air still that has a moral to it, and its a Christian show. I do agree however that it is harder and harder to find good shows to watch, when I was a kid it was all about the full house, giligans island, and the wonder years. Those were good shows! (as I write this I am eating a bad of chips and watching the MTV music awards.. how sad)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20283843.post-1140811923858036322006-02-24T15:12:00.000-05:002006-02-24T15:12:00.000-05:00Good point about Corner Gas, Kelly. In the case of a comedy like Will and Grace, you'd have more trouble trying to find the token heterosexual!Joanne (True Blue)https://www.blogger.com/profile/17445664997050698154noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20283843.post-1140810113851310232006-02-24T14:41:00.000-05:002006-02-24T14:41:00.000-05:00I agree with you Joanne that TV has taken a nose d...I agree with you Joanne that TV has taken a nose dive. We have satellite with the movie channels and I STILL have trouble finding something worthwhile. I do like the Amazing Race, I have grown slightly tired of Survivor (although I will still tune in if at home) and oddly enough, I got hooked on Apprentice recently. However, I don't think I can stomach any more reality shows - the Bachelor, for example, is embarrassing to watch - so I don't. (I do have to admit to watching Super Nanny occassionally!) I love a good comedy and can attest to the fact that Corner Gas is truly funny! Give me a good comedy that doesn't have the "obligatory" gay person/couple in it and I'm happy.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20283843.post-1140803832733112772006-02-24T12:57:00.000-05:002006-02-24T12:57:00.000-05:00That's great, Steph. But please, Kiefer, drop the commercials!!!Joanne (True Blue)https://www.blogger.com/profile/17445664997050698154noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20283843.post-1140790221667801682006-02-24T09:10:00.000-05:002006-02-24T09:10:00.000-05:00Sorry, I'm not with you on this one. I'm so happy that Survivor is back, and soon I'll be watching Apprentice and Amazing Race when they start up again. I also love to catch Extreme Makeover: Home Edition whenever I can.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
